FRANKEE DSR

This product contains pantoprazole and domperidone which is used to prevent over secretion of gastric acid. gastric acid hypersecretion causes many diseases such as gastroesophageal reflux disease or increases the risk of ulcers or bleeding of gastrointestinal tract.

Pantoprazole belongs to the proton pump inhibitor and is used in the management of secretion of gastric acid. It prevents the recurrence of ulcers of stomach and of duodenum.

Domperidone is the antagonist of dopamine receptors. It speeded up the peristalsis movement and decreases the release of prolactin. It has antiemetic action.

Mechanism of action-

Pantoprazole blocks the Na+K+ATPase pump present on the parietal cells it does it so by binding with the sulfhydryl groups of cysteine of the pump and decreases the acid secretion.
Domperidone blocks the d1 and d2 receptors present at the chemotrigger zone which is located outside the blood brain barrier and helps to treat nausea and vomiting.
